Bei mir ist das nach den letzten Updates so eingetroffen. Hab mein MacBook Air (Ende 2015) bei dem es besonders schlimm geworden ist deshalb auch nicht auf BigSur geupdated. Obwohl ich kaum Daten auf dem Rechner habe, belegt bei mir "Andere Volumes" den Hauptanteil des Speichers. Ist das bei dir auch so?

Ich mache Musik und versuche, einige VSTs herunterzuladen, für deren Download 16 GB kostenlos sind (sie beanspruchen nur 3 GB, sobald sie installiert sind). Wenn ich in die Speicherverwaltung gehe, heißt es, dass 2 GB frei sind. Es werden 4 GB von Dokumenten und 2 GB von Anwendungen beansprucht. Was nimmt den Rest meines Raumes ein?
