Hi, just got the Lenovo Legion 5 pro 16ACH. The TGP is at 115W on "auto" mode and it can boost at 140W in "performance" mode. And good to know, the fans aren't at full speed constantly on performance mode which is very good. Anyway very good pc, got it at 1800€ / 2100$, not a great deal but i got it. And another thing, you can fit 2x 2280 m.2 SSDs.
Great insights! The difference between different models of the same manufacturer can be quite big (e.g MSI GS66 and GE66 where GS is the more expensive model)
I called Acer for the Nitro 5. The employee said that the new product were tested with 80 Watt TGP but its not safe now to say that it will come out with only 80 Watts or maybe more.
Update: Lenovo Legion 5 (2021) comes with 144Hz (15.6" and 17.3") and 165Hz (15.6" model only) panels.
Biggest issue: all panels are limited to 300cd/m² brightness which is unsuitable for anything outdoor or near a window.
The 2020 Legion 5 did not have the hinge quality control issues experienced by Legion 7 (all Intel models) experienced and continue to do so until today. I see very little reason to buy the Legion 7 over Legion 5 Pro because the RTX 3070 will perform nearly equally to the RTX 380 of the Legion 7 because all Legion chassis are thermally constrained above 130W anyway...
