The CrApple is made of cheap & weak aluminium, one of the most most abundant materials on earth. That is why its so cheap we throw away aluminium every day in the form of drink cans and aluminium foil... into trash cans often made of aluminium!

That is why for a 13" display device, it weighs a lousy 1.3kg! Every other brand from the latest HP Aero to the latest Fujitsu Lifebook U9310X that Notebookchat has reviewed have got laptops (even 14" display ones) at or around the 1kg or sub 1kg mark! That is what you call a real premium design! Lightweight design IS PREMIUM design in itself! The CrApple is a piece of crap aluminium thingie with a smartphone SOC!

The X1-Nano comes with standard 3 year warranty and with the same specs cost the same as the M1 crap made of aluminium!?!?!? Wow, that's a no brainer. A proper ultralight featherweight device built to last out of carbon fibre and magnesium that is basically only TWO-THIRDS the weight of the CrApple while being able to run far more apps in the Windows environment. Only i-Diots and fruity fangirls will choose the M1.

And please don't kid me about M1 performance BS. Again, you are tossing out synthetic benchmarks cherry picked by CrApple comparing against a lousy crappy Intel CPU.

I don't know if you mean overall durability or just physical durability, because the X1 series has known issues and does not have a particularly low rate of repairs that should be expected from its price.

The aluminum is not expensive to source, but the unibody build achieved by CNC is widely known to be expensive and does yield higher strength than non-unibody solutions.

I don't think I've come across a full carbon fiber design that's not somehow flimsy. The most common weak point would be lid flexion. Using carbon fiber for the keyboard side however generally does not produce issues.

The Nano is Intel only, why bring up the AMD to attempt to bash the M1? Even if the AMD is faster it doesn't make the Nano look any better. Personally I wouldn't choose the Macbook if only for lack of touch but the M1 basically matches the Intel running Rosetta and is about twice as fast in native, and even Chromebooks sell so I wouldn't worry about Apple's ecosystem.

Not at all, in fact your linked video is pretty embarrassing for AMD. It shows that the AMD achieves less than twice the GB multicore as Intel for far more than twice the power draw:7900 63W vs. 4400 25W(1:35 and 3:33 in the video), and while there's no reported power draw for the Apple in the video, where it almost matches the AMD in GB multicore it's been said to sustain less than 30W. Only in Cinebench does the AMD have a clear advantage to the Apple, and that's at a much higher power draw. I'll give it to Lenovo that they gave the device a pretty good cooling solution, but it is physically a slightly bigger and heavier laptop than the others.

Most folks I know use the MacBook Pro or the 12" MacBook, yet they all know what a MacBook Air is, and have no idea what a X1 is, so there you go.
With M1, the Air will now be one of THE MOST popular choice of laptops in first world countries, I imagine, and for good reason.

Key travel is not the worst part of the X1 Nano. It's the reduced size keyboard, which make for a strange and unconventional typing experience.

Apple has 8% with a handful of models, and of course much more than 8% in English speaking countries.

The Nano, as a member of the X1 family should have a solid Linux support from both Intel and Lenovo. And it is 430g lighter, with the legendary trackpoint, so the choice is super easy!
