I don't know about where you live, but around here, the 10900K is much cheaper than 5950X. It's cheaper than 5900X as well. I doubt the 11900K is going to be much more expensive. Especially as it will lose two cores over its predecessor. As was said, games typically can't really make use of 16 cores. Actually, it can be a disadvantage to have too many cores. 5950X should be the AMD gaming champ as it should offer the highest boost IIRC (it probably gets the best dies), not because it has the most cores. However, in the Intel's camp, 600K tends to be a solid choice for gamers, offering very good boost and strong single threaded performance at a lower price. It's not all about the 900K.
