Rising Taiwanese semiconductor maker MediaTek looks like it wants a bigger slice of the high-end mobile devices segment. The company's recent Dimensity 1000 series signalled its intentions and now the purported appearance of a new MT6893 SoC on Geekbench 5 suggests it is closing in on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 chipset.
