But TB will severely bottleneck the GPU and the low-voltage APU as well. So your shiny RTX 3090 will become bottlenecked down to RTX 3060 in the best case. So what Anonyneko proposed to make much more sense BTW - the size won't be any bigger, but you can stick some 5800X + RX 6800X easily in such case and get around x2 pure GPU power compared to eGPU bottlenecked RTX 3090. Such enclosures make sense only for mid-level cards such as RTX 2060s / RX 5600 / RX 5700 / RX 6700 etc. Anything higher than that will be severely bottlenecked.
