You missed one big pitfall for the AMD version: the 250 nits screen vs the 400 nits screen on the intel version!

ZenBook 14 UM425 Pure 3 14" is the whole name of AMD variant with 400 nits. Nevertheless it's almost impossible to find
What isn't these days? I was just inquiring about Asus PN50 mini PC with 4700U or 4800U and got back a reply that they might deliver them in February or March 2021. Not a chance before the end of the year. It's nuts.

Don't forget that Thunderbolt allows 10GbE networking between two laptops which is pretty awesome. Anyway, crap devices like this lacking a 3.5mm jack can die and go to hell. We don't need to encourage or support such evil trends like removing the audio jack from notebooks. It is extremely user hostile.

Yup, no headphone jack and 400 nits FHD touchscreen are instant deal-breakers on a sub $900 mid-range ultrabook in 2020.

Quotethe Ryzen 7 4700U which we've already proven can hold its own fairly well when up against the Core i7-1165G7

You mean it pulverizes the 1165G7. Even the 4500U rekts the little cat poodle.

You'll have to really exploit Thunderbolt and single-threaded applications to justify owning the more expensive Intel ZenBook UX425 over the less expensive AMD ZenBook UM425. Both models utilize the exact same chassis powered by different processors.
