Renoir was already a big upgrade. And they didn't wait for it. They didn't push for a mid-generation update or earlier release of next generation. Personally, as I said before, I'm not expecting to see laptops with Cezanne on shelves in Q1. Renoir is still trickling into market. I can imagine Microsoft pulling it off, but I wouldn't be surprised if they released Laptop 4 with Renoir instead. Or if they scrapped the AMD version altogether. That was my main worry when Renoir arrived - that it would suck if there was no Laptop 4 with Renoir after the not very warm welcome the AMD powered Laptop 3 received.
Maybe they're waiting for the AMD 5800U to arrive? Although it'll probably still be Vega GPU :( the CPU will be Zen 3 and should totally blow Intel in performance per watt :)
