The new RTX 3080 FE cards represent a reasonable progress for those looking to improve performance in 4K games, but the lower resolutions do not really benefit from substantial gains, unfortunately. Additionally, the 10 GB VRAM capacity appears to hinder the power of the new ray tracing cores.
