Danke für den Hinweis, dass eGPU wegen der begrenzten Bandbreite von Tunderbolt 3 kein Allheilmittel ist! Das gilt dann auch für Thunderbolt 4 mit 32 Gb/s für den PCIe-Link. Wäre ja auch zu schön gewesen, wenn man 2x Nvidia RTX 2080 TI oder 2x 3xxx-er im SLI-Verbund als eGPUs betreiben könnte.

Ich habe eine verwandte Frage. Ryzen-7-3700X und Ryzen 4xxx-er unterscheiden sich hinsichtlich der PCI-Lanes. Wann soll man 3700X, wann 4xxx und wann warten und die mutmaßlichen Nachfolger von 4xxx mit dann so vielen PCI-Lanes wie beim 3700X nehmen zusammen mit einem SLI-Verbund?
