That's a shame. Looks like the K20/Mi9T Pro is essentially shelved as far as Android 11 goes... for now.

It did launch on Android 9 but also right before 10 came out - it's Pie days were short and sweet. I'm hoping that means it's not excluded by the "two major Android updates" trend that Xiaomi follows and rather, gets it later in a second update wave.

It's a flagship-esque device, came barely a year ago and isn't too dissimilar from the K30 successor. I'd be fine with it not getting Android 12... but it's way too soon for it to get stuck on Android 10.

I've stopped buying Xiaomi products,not bcoz they're bad. I really love their build quality and cost effectiveness. But I realize that they've releasing so many smartphones, that I don't think they will be able to keep up with their updates. I mean real android updates not MIUI. That's just my humble opinion.

The Android 11 update will start making its way to Xiaomi devices in September. It will be based on MIUI 12 and available to a host of Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco smartphones. The company is already testing the software on many smartphones, such as the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Redmi K30 Pro.
