This is the most bs I've ever heard, the s20 ultra never had a "fake zoom", it was an actual periscope camera it was just that they claimed it had 100x Hybrid Space Zoom (which is technically correct because it is a mix of 4x optical and the rest is hybrid or digital zoom). The Note20 Ultra on the other hand has a completely different periscope camera, it's just that the resolution is the same. The N20U has a 5x optical periscope zoom camera, maxing out at 50x hybrid zoom (including some digital). So in fact, this camera is an improvement over the s20 ultra which only has 4x optical zoom. So, before you start going on about "fake zoom", make sure you know what zoom actually means, otherwise that means every smartphone camera has "fake zoom".

You seem quite confused. GS20U doesn't do fake zoom (by generally accepted standards) nor does your linked review say so. GS20's zoom is "fake" in a sense but they claim that it's hybrid so technically they're not lying either. As long as GN20U sticks to the same setup as GS20U, then it doesn't do fake zoom, unless you call all the digital interpolation between primes fake zoom, in which case 99.9% of smartphones do fake zoom and is all but pointless to point out.
