Hey anybody remember the Samsung K Zoom & Camera2 smartphones?

Both were basically the combination of phones and point-and-shot cameras but seemed like a novel concept, especially as consumers were SOOO concerned about camera specs for the iPhone & Galaxy S lines.

A smartphone with exterior lens attachment features would be wild in today's market.

I wonder how they're gonna lie about being the first this time when Asus already released a smartphone with true optical zoom years ago.

Could be cheaper than multiple lens.
I hope though they upgrade their color/contrast performance and optics to be at lvl of xperia.

A new phone design patent attributed to the OEM Huawei shows that it has one truly massive lens in an even larger rectangular housing on its back panel. However, there may be a good reason for this: its schematics show that it may also be capable of DSLR-like zoom. Therefore, this IP may one day represent the company's next image-sensor breakthrough.
