That's not how you convert/estimate the USD price. First you extract 20% VAT and then convert to USD. Then you get $1384.

How did you calculate that?

Now, eluktronics even added a larger battery to their laptop. So who would choose over that for Asus laptop with trash screen.

Who cares if it now has a 4900H instead of a 4800H?
yes, but how about addressing this question to the amd marketing department? or mrs su herself?  :)
The 4800H A15 is $1200 (still not worth it over the RP-15 but I digress). The 4900H A15 is $1700.
I don't think AMD is pricing the 4900H $500 higher than the 4800H. This is just ASUS being a dogshit company any taking advantage of unknowing consumers who want AMD.

Really? Taking advantage of AMD hype and overpricing products? f*** ASUS.

Who cares if it now has a 4900H instead of a 4800H? The 4800H in the Eluktronics RP-15 will still outperform it because the A15 has dogshit cooling.
And guess what? It has a 91%+ srgb screen and costs $500 less!

So this is how laptop manufacturers are dealing with the fact that AMD CPUs have better performance than Intel CPUs.

Instead of making Intel laptops cheaper, make AMD laptops more expensive! After all, AMD CPUs have much better performance than Intel CPUs.

Manufacturers get to differentiate their product, and AMD gets a higher-end reputation. Everyone wins, right?

Well, everyone except the consumer.

Asus has been promoting its TUF Gaming A15 laptop on Twitter, revealing the high-end Renoir APU AMD Ryzen 9 4900H and the capable Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. The laptop has already been advertised for pre-order on a UK site for £1,399.99 (US$1,721) and should be available in mid July. There has been some criticism about the laptop's display, though.
