Glad to finally see this!

Still irritated that most of the big names are still reducing the likelihood that consumers will pick up the AMD laptops by reducing features, perpetuating the cycle, but hey - it beats not having them at all.

Looking forwards to seeing a review of this with the RX 5600M, see if it lives up to its potential.

Why would anyone buy a Ryzen 9 and not the Ryzen 7 is just beyond my understanding. 1-2% more in benchmarks, no real gain in real life for maybe 100-200$ more, that is not an offer.

The G14 is far from being loud, it is quieter than any other gaming laptop i had. Notebookcheck just fucked up their review and doesn't bother to correct it, especially regarding battery times.

oh s***, i noticed just now that cheapest amd and top-end intel are on par in cpu+gpu performance wise.
6 lake cores+2070mq vs 6 ryzen cores+5600m.
freaking amazing hahaha.

2060 maxq has the 1660ti perf
2070 maxq has the 2060 perf
yep, the whole story about how bad is the absence of high tier gpus in amd machines is very wrong and misleading.
even 2080 maxq is not far from the ordinary 2060.  marketing numbers/names and price jump is way bigger than the real performance jump. in fact, 100 dollars more for the integrated->mx350 is way more significant for the user expirience and comfort than 2060->2080maxq for 1000 dollars. (non maxq 2080 is in another tdp/power category, only for a big and hefty laptops, we can skip it in general discussions)
so, screen options or materials or memory/storage is important and its a bummer they are not equal for the intel/amd machines, but no 2080-no problem. because of very low price/performance ratio. not worth buying, really.

congrant to everyone. 5600m finally. against all odds and mrs su.
should be a much better card than 5500m in enery efficiency. ~1200mgz is like max-q type of frequencies.

The guy with the optimus is misleading. I also have an intel with optimus laptop, and sometimes takes the right decision to use the igp sometimes not (more often). Also many reviewers had no problem and the g14 delivered 11h+ battery.
2060 maxq has the 1660ti perf
2070 maxq has the 2060 perf
So the amd + 5600m should be the best choice and of course if it has a good pannel will be the best bang for the buck gaming laptop!

I would take that AMD pairing over throttled down Intel and Nvidia highest configuration.

The Dell G5 15 5505 SE has great specs!
The only disappointment they didn't cut bezels and didn't go 16:10, like XPS 15 did!

Dell and most of OEMs don't pair amd gpus with high end nvidia gpus because the implementation is broken from both sides. You can see in Zephyrus G14 review, even with a 1660ti, the fans run like crazy. And that is not because cooling is not sufficient but because FW/Advanced optimus doesn't work OK with AMD-nvidia combination.
So stop bashing OEMs and Intel for the work that AMD has to do and didn't do yet.

Looks awesome. To have tye radeon 5600m that beats the 2060 at 830$ is fantastic. Probably in terms of gaming 4600h or 4800h will give you same fps.
Only the display is the question is is 45-60 srgb or 100.
Looking forward for a review.

Let's hope RDNA2 have 100% PS5/XB ported pc game support. That's the only way we can have 4900H with high end dGPU.

Other companies are pushing 5500M trash. Or lock you in 1650 trash if you chosen 6c/12t 4600H.

Dell is a fucking amazing company to offer the consumer real value.

Dell is now making the G5 15 laptop available at prices starting from US$829.99. The G5 15 can be availed in Intel and AMD options. While the AMD-based Dell G5 15 SE 5505 has the distinction of being the first Ryzen 4000 + Navi 10 combination, the Intel SKUs offer more customizability in terms of GPU options, chassis lighting, and faster Ethernet.
