You've got to be joking. Width isn't a defining characteristic of a compact phone because it was never a problem in smaller phones. All compact phones are on the narrow end. Width became a problem as phones got taller and taller. That's when they started stretching aspect ratio of displays to keep the width in check. This thing is almost as tall as Galaxy S20+. There is nothing compact about it. You can call it narrow (easier to grip with smaller hands), but not compact. SE 2 is about 2 cm shorter. That's about two phone sizes. And even that is, IMHO, too big to be a proper compact. Compact Xperias were about 3 cm shorter than this, first SE was even smaller. They grew towards the end, especially the XZ2 made a jump, but was still smaller than SE 2.

About the only thing it has in common with the SE is the price. In that sense, it's a competitor. Otherwise: It's much taller (less pocket friendly), the display is tall and hence isn't single thumb friendly, it's not an iPhone and the performance won't bear comparison.

I admit that modern full size smartphones are an issue for the pockets of most womenswear, but some already have full sized pockets(they're generally advertised as a feature, or you could do a little modification yourself, it's very easy modifying a pocket), and everybody has coats. It's not otherwise an issue.
