Sorry Xiamoi, looks like you may have a possible patent infringement case on your hands, but your design might be different from Apple's 2009 filing.

It's purely a Design Patent... nothing about implementation or technology. Xiaomi is just saying, "if there is an underscreen camera, we own it because we thought of it first!"

This one depicts them as part of a triple-camera phone, which suggests this tech is closer to real-world use at this point.
