Nachdem LGA 1151 fast fünf Jahre und immerhin vier CPU-Generationen überdauert hat scheint das Gerüchten zufolge beim brandneuen LGA 1200 anders zu sein: Schon mit Alder Lake-S im nächsten Jahr könnte ein neuer LGA 1700-Sockel eingeführt werden, der physisch größer und damit inkompatibel mit allen aktuellen Chips sein wird.
