All the Chinese manufacturers have a far worse record on privacy, part of the reason is that the Party openly requests that invasions on privacy by the party remain discreet, unlike the US where at least they generally need a warrant to access your private data. So it's not at all in their interest to use something open source whose security is verifiable by 3rd parties.
