Does anyone know the actual brightness of the 4K version? I know that they state 500 nits, but I have learned that is just a guide. thanks.

+1 for details of the 32gb developer edition and/or the i7 variant. (Or even Linux compatibility of the windows version..)

I don't give a damn about what other people buy and why, I just look at the product and at what it offers to me. Sometimes Apple products provide a better (to me) user experience, sometimes they don't.

Saying "I don't buy Apple because stupid people do it" doesn't make much more sense than saying "I buy Apple because the logo is cool" IMHO.

To me, it looks like Dell tried to completely emulate Apple with this device (the hinge is pretty much a copy of the one introduced in MacBooks in 2016 while the 16:10 screen, the quiet fan and the higher price complete the package), but apparently the result is a bit disappointing.

This decision is VERY unprofessional.

I'm really curious about the existence of coil whine, thermals, the wifi performance, and comfort with the trackpad. I'm coming from a Macbook to a Windows laptop and am looking into this, so I'd really like to make an informed decision.

Any idea when they are going to drop 32GB RAM Developer Edition?

I browsed Geekbench a little bit for evidence, I see 9300 is on par with 7390 and 9370 (Comet Lake 4core), but I guess one run is not a good data point.

I can't post links, but just use these result ids:

1920x1200 is called WUXGA, not FHD+. As I understand it, the plus means that the display has 1080 lines (in landscape orientation, that's what the FHD brings) but is wider than 1920 (that's the plus). Which is not this case at all.

I notice some users report problems attaching an eGPU or TB3 monitor to the laptop. Are you able to test this?

Also, any issues with modern standby or sleep mode on this device? Is there s3 sleep?
