So even if get a laptop with Ryzen 7 4800U, I will miss out on Thunderbolt 3 and decent quality hardware video encoding (AMD's Video Core Next sucks in quality and still no B-frames for HEVC?). Unless there is a laptop with Ryzen 7 4800U and 1660 Ti or Ryzen 7 4800H and NVIDIA RTX 20xx Graphics with NVENC, but there does not seem to be any. And still no Thunderbolt 3. Whereas with Intel Ice Lake, I can get TB3 and QuickSync Gen 11 HEVC which is improved in quality and ahead overall.

If tiger lake is faster, igpu performance will scale up as well when paired with powerful cpu...Igpu is especially more important with u series processor.

Also, AMD has Zen 3 coming out soon too (which will have enhanced Navi graphics in it).

gap of igpu is filling.Xe graphics is expected to do well.infiact with higher capacity AMD cpu, gpu score are marginal difference.4800u is high end and next gen is expected in next year only. does that means after long wait we will see intel igpu beating amd one this year( with upcoming intel lot)
