What an odd thing to say, considering that AMD's TDP generally represents maximum power draw when the chip is fully stresses, whereas Intel's TDP is only for base clocks.
7nm less efficient than 14nm+++?
Have you seen AMD's Zen2 power draw numbers on desktop alone?
Furthermore, the Zen 2 mobile chips are highly binned parts with monolithic dies.
Oh and, its usually Intel that has problems with thermal throttling in laptops...
But laptop OEM's are morons who never design proper cooling assemblies for laptops in the first place.
