I mentioned this last month. Huawei's "251 incident" prompted marketplaces to demote Huawei's flagships putting Apple back in the spotlight, also the overall sentiment was probably against buying Huawei, and Huawei is the only major competitor in China with a major presence in Apple's price bracket, so if not Huawei who frames its own employee over whistleblowing on internal fraud and compensation it's agreed to, then it's back to Apple.
