If you haven't played FF7, I'd recommend it if you can get your hands on a copy and have about 50 hours to sink into the game and all its side quests. Main storyline should take you about 20-25 hours, but all the bonus content would take an additional 15-25.

While I never played FF7(only the prequel on PSP), I'm the grinding type so this would've been easier to me?

Ruby Weapon, the hardest superboss from Final Fantasy 7, will Final Fantasy 14's rogues' gallery with Patch 5.2 in February. Ruby Weapon joins other optional bosses from prior entries in the RPG series, like Kefka from Final Fantasy 6 and Ultima Weapon, Ruby's brother from Final Fantasy 7.
