The given Passmark-result is rather poor for the 3950X, My 3900Xs range from 34.500 to 35.300 without any manual overclock. In case of this result it was very slow clocked memory with loose timings. Crucial 2666 MHz 16-18-18 most likely clocked at the default 2133 MHz. For a proper setup I expect a score of 38.000 to 40.000,

AMD's Ryzen 9 3950X processor has been spotted on PassMark. The chip was tested on the CPU Mark benchmark for "high end CPUs" and scored magnificently. Only Epyc server processors from the same manufacturer prevented the sample from hitting the top spot, while Intel rivals such as the Core i9-9980XE had to make way for the upstart super-processor.
