Taiwanese-based MediaTek, one of the largest smartphone chipset manufacturers, is looking to get into the mobile gaming market with their new G-Series of gaming orientated SoCs. With Qualcomm and MediaTek being the only two mass producers of smartphone SoCs for other OEMs, MediaTek has an opportunity here to capture market share.
