This is one of the most detailed and thorough reviews I have seen. Thank you for taking the time to present a truly excellent piece of work.  :)

Just a comment about the acer open rear cover pic, which you mentioned is difficult to service. There is another factor to consider here...the duct tape type of sealing of the rear has the following pro's:
1. It ensures and directs the cooling fan airflow and forces it between the pc boards, which is why the laptop has such good temp spec's.
2. It protects the bottom of the pc board from water overflow and short circuit and moisture that may lead to corrosion, if for example a glass of water falls over next to the laptop and splashes into the fan slots or if water is spilled on top of the keys it may "puddle" in the furrow of the base cover.
3. It prevents dust collection from the outside into or onto the pc card slots and segments. Dust is a huge problem with life-expectancy of components as it leads to overheating as it eventually becomes a sponge for attracting moisture & short-circuits.

I have had my old acer (best available at the time - i7) for 13 years now, I always ensured good cooling and it's still up there with most modern laptops in performance. My other basic i4 acer 17" survived a candle burn...the laptop screen was bent back without realizing the candle and after a while the laptop died...lol...so when we realized what we had done there was a hole in the laptop screen the size of a golf ball...I never thought it would survive that! - but heck - it did! - it didn't catch fire and was not destroyed...so we stuck a big bumper sticker over the hole and its been a year now and it still works fine - no visible damage to the LCD - "due to acer using a thin aluminum plate at the back to protect the LCD"...so yes...maybe hard to service...but I think that their idea with building it that way was... that you will never have to ;-) ...lol...thanks again for a great review!

When a laptop has G-sync you criticise it for not having Optimus. When a laptop has Optimus you criticise it for not having g-sync. This laptop has both Optimus and g-sync and you still pan it. Suggest revision of this score.

The RTX 2060 version definitely does NOT have G-Sync, unfortunately.  In addition, the Predator software does not allow to configure custom fan curves, only max, auto, or manually setting the %.  The use of the really small three fans must be necessary to make the case so thin and able to run 2080, but it is louder than it could have been if only it was slightly thicker.  Having both G-sync and Optimus, it seems the Lenovo Y740 15" is the better laptop even if this Acer looks nicer.

Just got my Triton 800 with RTX 2080, 16GB, 512 SSD.  In the bios I have an option for switchable graphics - "MSHybrid" and "dGPU".  This was rather unexpected and  great bonus!

I think some RTX 2060 models of this does not have G-Sync, so it is in theory possible for it to be compatible with optimus (not sure if they bothered to implement it). Any chance for a 2060 variant review in the future?

Yo, you didn't tell us much about the keyboard.. does have any sort of rgb? Or just blue light? Also, didn't didn't tell us the exact capacity of the battery

They can either have switchable graphics or G-Sync. You can't have them both without two display ports on the motherboard and some custom switch between them.

The ultrabookreview of the Triton 500 found that the 180W charger was not enough to supply the 2080 MQ variant with enough power during gaming and as a result the battery would slowly discharge. As you found the opposite result, is it possible to double check your findings? In addition, is the charger generic where one could buy a 230W and use it on the laptop?
