Yeah, sounds like a complete disaster full of possibly the worst decisions fathomable.
- non-upgradable RAM, SSD and Wi-Fi card
- smaller battery than last year's model
- less ports than last year's model
- no Windows Hello IRC and FPR not on the side
- dreadful keyboard implementation
- still bottom firing speakers
oh and last but not least,
- $1k for daul-core i3 and 4GB of single-channel memory is beyond utterly insane.
Might as well get an iPad, at least you'll get some decent sound out of it.
- This model has a bigger battery than last gen (51 vs 46 WHr)
- This model has more connectivity than last gen (2 thunderbolt vs 1)
- Last gen model had side firing speakers. You want top firing speakers on a convertible laptop? Where do you think the speakers would fire in tablet mode? That's right genius, at the bottom.
You're right, might as well pay $800 for a facebook tablet.
