I don't understand why Dell keeps changing their keyboard layout in every model. It's hard enough to get used to it compared to a regular keyboard, but having different models with different key placements is a really crappy decision.
They used to have regular sized arrow keys with a dedicated home/pgup/pgdown/end column. It was really good.
Then they started copying Apple with the small arrow keys.
Then they changed it again by additing dedicated PgUp/PgDown keys next to the already small arrow keys.
Now they put the power button where the delete key usually sits.
Just brilliant.
The previous 13 in 2-in-1 had a separate dedicated power button, it was much better than accidentally turning off you laptop when trying to press the delete key.

By "last year's model", I mean the XPS 13. The last XPS 13 2-in-1 I believe was few years ago and frankly not worth referencing as a standard for a premium convertible today.

Whether 2-in-1 or no, currently most laptops in the market with front facing speakers including MacBook, Spectre, EliteBook, Surface, MateBook and Yoga C930 do happened to have much better sound quality than the XPS 13 with side speakers.

So yes, if a hybrid PC largely fails to function like a PC, then you might as well get a tablet for less money.

Won't this fan design cause problem?
Blowing hot air onto the screen, is there any other existing other model that has similar design??

- This model has a bigger battery than last gen (51 vs 46 WHr)
- This model has more connectivity than last gen (2 thunderbolt vs 1)
- Last gen model had side firing speakers. You want top firing speakers on a convertible laptop? Where do you think the speakers would fire in tablet mode? That's right genius, at the bottom.

You're right, might as well pay $800 for a facebook tablet.

Ehh? No expandable RAM and m.2 makes it a no go for me. I want to be able to install my own cheap RAM stick and a cheap 2tb drive.
