Thanks, Allen!  Great job on this review.  We bought a 3780 a month ago.  For home use it has performed well, pretty much exactly as you have stated.  We like our Inspiron.  On sale at Staples it was $499.  We would buy another.

You know something's wrong when even an integrated Vega 8 can outperform your dedicated Radeon GPU. The Inspiron 17 3780 may sport the newest Intel Whiskey Lake-U CPU, but the decision to pair it with an outdated Radeon 520 is a head scratcher.
