IGZO didn't save Sharp, but how did IGZO fall into the hands of BOE?
AFAIK, it's owned by another Japanese company. Sharp and LG (?) licensed for Apple production. How it got from there to China, I don't know.

This was a helpful primer on IGZO:

Hopefully this will translate to 10+ real world hours on these new Thinkpads.
With only 50Whr of battery, chances are slim. It may just pip 10 hours in the WiFi test, but the downside of smaller batteries still remains: it all lasts a long time until some system process or devices (or OS...) decides to drain 25Whr out of the blue. On a 74Whr battery, ~>1/3 of the battery is gone, the world isn't over. On a 50Whr battery, 1/2 of the battery is gone.
The point is, I'm still wondering why we couldn't get both in a Thinkpad? Of course, the Dell Latitude 7400 has both, but I'd rather not get a Dell Latitude again.
