The security analyst responsible for dismantling the WannaCry malware that crippled tens of thousands of computer systems (including many used in government services) pleaded guilty to two counts of writing malware used in banking attacks. Marcus Hutchins, who discovered the kill-switch that finally resolved WannaCry, will face up to 10 years in jail and up to $500,000 in fines.
