@Mojo Jojo - I think you have things backwards?

Looking at newegg, cheapest vega 64 goes for $500, while cheapest 2080ti goes for $1150.

As for no game needing more than a single 2080ti, sure, if you are playing single screen. If you run 4 monitors at 4k, a single 2080ti might not cut it for some games.

Without any benchmarks, is just a big waste of money, given no game around needs better than a 2080ti, for current Vega 64 prices, you could have sli two 2080ti.
Guess being a fanboy matters more in this case.

Ofc AMD going to tweet it, free publicity at the fanboys expense.

Now what would be cool is if they sent him four Navi gpu's just before they are due to release, let him remake his setup using those and show off the Navi power.

AMD has posted a tweet on its Ryzen Twitter account showing what can be done with just one Ryzen Threadripper 1950X HEDT chip and four Radeon RX Vega 64 LC graphics cards. The builder of the custom desktop PC setup has called his system "RippinRed 2.0", and it also features 32 GB RAM, a motherboard from Gigabyte, and four monitors from Dell and Acer.
