Msi is well known for its value for money and this GE75 8SF is no exceptions.Aafter 2 years its still performing well.I used this laptop mostly for gaming and it hasnt disapoint me yet.
It have all the things you need for a gamer a good thermal and a GPU to run all games on high setting at least, with 60 fps.
This product definetly fulfilled my needs and my expectations.
Strengths
worth the money/High refresh rate/RGB setup/Easy access to motherboard for changes
Weakness
Bloatwares/Need to have thermal paste for cooler temp

I can tell that this review has not much - if any truth in it if it comes to the temps.

I've got VERY SIMILAR laptop (same structure) - MSI GE75 9SF - with RTX 2070 and with i7-9750H instead of i7-8750H and I've got temperatures (without UV and underclocking) up to 100 Celsius in games and over 90 during the system start. And I'm not the only one who has such a behaviour but many folks in my country.

If this is not an HIDevolution version of laptop this review is not much worthy and can lead someone to the conclusion that this laptop is actually pretty cold.

Why does the laptop designers place the battery in the worst possible location just next to the hottest area next to the CPU and GPU?  It will forsure stress the battery and reduce the life time. And further the battery placement clearly obstruct the optimal thermal path to the fans.

I've bought this laptop with the 51Wh. I expected its battery life was 3 hours like the ge73, but it resist only 2h without AC. Is it possible that the battery inside the laptop is bad?

You mention that this laptop comes with a Chi Mei panel and only a Chi Mei panel.

Well, that's wrong. Mine has an AUO 409D ( B173HAN04.0 ) panel, which by the way has absolutely horrible inverse ghosting.

Hi, I bought this laptop there is little and I feel that it is bridle. I did some research and I came across your test. My 3D Mark tests are not the same, I am much lower in the scores! An opinion? Thank you !

Surprising how close the max q razer is in graphics tests.

Why do you criticise some laptops for having G-sync (predator Triton 500) then criticise others for not having it? Damned if you do, damned if you don't etc etc

Is G-sync worth it?

Oh I got better scores.

Sadly u guys didn´t best many games!
Anyways, I got better scores overall but I got also a big problem, my GPU Clocks are crazy and go way high (like 2100MHz) on Core with any overclock, seems there are alote ppl with same problem!

Are you sure about the battery used in this? On the MSI website is mentioned that the GE75 8SF comes with a 51Whr 6 cell Li-Ion battery. Did they send you a special review sample?

The 65Whr 6 cell Li-Ion battery belongs to the RTX 2080 version (GE75 8SG)

It's important to mention that almost every retailer sells this with a 51Whr battery.

Please clarify this for everyone.

Much like how the Asus ROG GL704 is a major update over the GL703, the MSI GE75 is a major update over the GE73. This $2200 mid-range gaming laptop skips the Max-Q series entirely for full-power GeForce RTX graphics up to the RTX 2080.
