We could see Computex revealing, with announcements starting to be made. For the Lenovo parts I read somewhere and you should wait 4-8 weeks on top of the announcement date. On the shelf availability might happen towards the Thanksgiving holiday season I guess?

There's always the possibility its going better than expected and announced timeframe pulled from Christmas to Thanksgiving.

I second that. X1 is the only laptop that checks almost all the boxes for me, but I'll never buy something with 16:9, which I consider ridiculuous.

Is it possible the ramp up of icelake is going better than expected with yields improving more than intel initially thought they would be?
