The funny this is, that technology is coming, but apple can't go in display face sensor and will be for a long time only one with horrendous notch. The face ID without fingerprint is one of the dumbest ideas. But that's apple - they want to be unique, but surprise - they are not anymore...

We knew that Essential is still a thing, but the info on the successor of the PH-1 phone was really limited still. New schematics uncovered by Slash Gear suggest that the upcoming PH-2 will get some innovative tech similar to what Samsung is trying to implement it future devices, including in-display selfie cams with light sensors that make the display translucent and in-display fingerprint sensors.
