Even if there was a very large number of faulty cards that would really be no reason for NVIDIA to be worried. As far back as I can remember they've always stood by their product and if there was something wrong people can just return it and get a new one. Nothing is perfect. Especially when it comes to new products. Or at least a product made into a consumer card with ddr6. I find it fascinating how we don't have more Electronics that are duds would the amount of things that are made every year around the world. Thank God for quality control but even that is imperfect and some technologies like ddr6 if that's what's causing the problems take time to get right. I usually get a warranty when I buy anything that's expensive. That way I can just take it back to the store and get a new one without having to deal with the manufacturer. Yes it is more expensive to add a warranty but I'd rather have peace of mind knowing that if something breaks I can get it replaced quickly or get my money back. I have a 2080 Ti from Asus that I am doing heavy calculations on right now 24 hours a day and so far so good. I miss the old days where we just appreciated new technology rather than sit there and try to pick it apart and bash it. Virtual reality is a perfect example. VR is a great and wonderful technology and there was so much negativity towards it and still is for no real good reason except for it's too expensive for some people. Yeah there isn't that many AAA games for VR yet but what did we expect? Right now we just have a bunch of Indie developers trying to throw their hat in the ring. And with that it's hit or miss but I still enjoy virtual reality. You can't really get more immersive than that in your gaming or other interactive experiences.

Some users who managed to get the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti Founders' Edition claim that the GPUs have critical instability issues that lead to black screens, BSoDs, and artifacting. There are instances where the cards were dead on arrival, and the replacement cards sent by Nvidia were still affected. Nvidia stats that this is normal, the number of affected users is limited, and they are dealing with each customer.
