The gen 9 Core CPUs from Intel were rumored to be launched this October, but it was not clear if they will only work on the new Z390 motherboards. A recent Gigabyte clarification post revealed that the upcoming CPUs will also be supported by the current gen 8 Z370 / H370 / B360 / H310 motherboards, which will get BIOS updates as soon as Intel launches the new processors.
