Below is my long term review:

The Ulefone Power 3 is a really bad telephone. I have had this telephone now for 8 months and nothing is like it is advertised. I bought the telephone in May 2018 from Aliexpress via the Ulefone Authorised Store. My findings and experiences are as per below. Please note that I have never dropped the telephone and it has never been exposed to any water.

- The battery should last for 3 days but now only lasts for 1 day
- Charging the battery to 100% should take only 3 hours but now takes 18 hours
- A lot of apps dont work on this phone as they crash constantly (facebook, ali express and many more apps)
- The camera has a hard time focusing on objects close by, pictures are never sharp
- The call speaker crashes many times meaning I have to call with handsfree mode
- The sound on recorded videos is of really bad quality
- Warranty is a lie as they do not cover the chip, motherboard and the screen and the official store is not willing to help

Great beautiful phone. A big disappointment it does not work for US carriers, specifically the main one, AT&T. Hopefully an international version with multiple band reception smashes the US market.

What are the differences between Power 3 and Power 3S? I see the battery is slightly bigger, should I go for the 3S if I want more battery life?

Any extension in battery life would probably be minimal - the battery difference is small enough that it could even be measurements taken from different batches of the same battery- the physical size of the batteries aren't given in any specs I am find so probably the easiest way to get an idea is to wait until replacement batteries are available on ebay/ali/... and compare the sizes and capacities. As a manufacturer of the phones it would make sense from a cost viewpoint to use the same parts in both phones as far is possible- same screen, same speakers, same covers, same everything (except installed RAM) and the chances are it is the same motherboard in both versions. I'd bet it is.

Good review, thanks. Loads better than the superficial reviews on most other sites.
Can you run the (affected) tests again with the os upgrade (android 8) so we can see how things get affected? Also comments on the implementation by ulefone would be interesting.
Many thanks!

Affordable combined with design. Ulefone is one of the Chinese manufacturers who offer affordable smartphones in all quality segments of the market. The Power 3 is the newest creation by this manufacturer, and we have tested what the device has to offer beyond its large battery.
