Mittels ARCore-SDK statt mit komplexen Tango-Hardware-Anforderungen will Google dem Konkurrenten Apple künftig Paroli beim Thema Augmented Reality bieten. Tango ist damit de facto Geschichte. ARCore soll ohne Tiefensensor mehr leisten und letztlich auf allen Android-Smartphones ab Android 7 zur Verfügung stehen.
