Ein Geekbench-Eintrag deutet auf ein weiteres Galaxy S-Modell mit der Modellnummer SM-G9600 und neuem Snapdragon 840-SOC. Dieser Quadcore-SOC könnte eine upgedatete Variante des Snapdragon 820 aus dem Vorjahr sein, das Gerät selbst eine leicht abgespeckte Lite- oder Mini-Variante mit Samsung's neuem Infinity-Display.
