Have owned this laptop for 2 months now. Can agree with the review completely.

Calibrating the screen makes significant improvement for the screen quality, this is easily observable in movies. Also, using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to lower the voltage output to the processor, I managed to lower load temperatures by almost 10C while at the same time increase performance by 10%. There was minor throthling before the tweak but after voltage drop the processor can run a stress test for 10min without throthing at all.

Only one usb-c port is confusing at start, but if you use cloud storage and bluetooth mouse there is rarely need to plug in anything more than a charger. Perfect for studying and on the move.

This is a terrific review. Very thorough. This ASUS seems like a great laptop at this weight class. I was surprised at how well the MacBook performed in practice. I hope the Zenbook is equally good.

Even worse, in Russia Asus sell this notebook with no mini-doc (and sleeve) included! I'm very disappointed about it.

1 port that is also the power connection? are these tech companies trolling us?
No-one wants to carry dongles that can get lost or break. Seems pointless to have usb c at all if its impossible to use in conjunction with any peripheral while charging. Sometimes I need to use a peripheral when I also need to charge.
Guess i'm not the target customer for this product though at this price point with this notable failing in functionality its hard to see who is.

Seems like Asus are blindly following apple down this path in the quest for thinness and that ethos has meant that even the fanboys are angry and are rejecting the new macbook pro as a result(never thought i'd see the day that happened)

Clear direction. Everything comes at a price. If you want super thin, you will have to waive ports – but not performance! After the throttling issues of the HP Spectre 13, the world's thinnest notebook, Asus can pull it off: Performance like a big system, but as thin as a fanless tablet.
