I don't understand how you determine scores.
The text said the pixel was better than the s7 in the first two scenes (somewhat arguable), but that it noticeably trailed while shooting in low light but the images don't back up that assertion. The pixel had: better color and post processing (look at the sign---the pixel looks closer to the reference canon), better hdr (the light source doesn't blow out as much).
The storage scores are indeed puzzling since we know it's using good nand.

gsmarena: "we found an sRGB option hidden in the Developer settings. Enabling it dropped the average deltaE to a very good 2.6". please update the review, for being fair!

Someone needs to learn how to use that Canon 70D. Its capable of much better exposures that what's shown in these samples.

Other than that...I'm on the fence with these Pixel XL phones.  If it had a micro sd card expansion or if it were128GB for $769 (US) instead of $869 price I'd be more inclined to buy one.   Also...I don't like the chin and forehead on these phones. I'd prefer a smaller form factor or a bigger screen.

No Dual SIM, low PWM frequency. This is rather a bad joke.

No mention of the Sony Xperia XZ? Very reasonably priced compared to the Google phones. I got mine last week and I like it very much. Just saying!

Hi! Thanks for this Live Review! Is it possible to measure temperatures also using CPU-Z ? so one can compare the data from the sensor with the thermometer. Moreover, it you have some time, I'm interested to see the temperature plot during a Skype call, as an example of a not very optimized app which is very heavy for the processor heat-wise.

Bombastic? High-end specifications, a supposedly excellent camera, and a big battery are supposed to justify the steep price of the google smartphone. The Google assistant and vast storage capacity for photos should do just that. But, is this sufficient?
