The worst laptop I have used so far. It has been always very slow since I bought it. When I opened a couple of IE browses, it becomes unbearably slow. I used several Dell laptops. Was satisfied with previous ones. But for Latitude 3440, I was very disjointed. If you want to buy a laptop, I would not recommend this one.

Great review; this convinced me to pick this machine over some others I was considering. Thanks!

Those who are wondering why the 1600x900 screen isn't there in most Dell websites:
It's not a regular feature in the stock builds, but if you call Dell directly and get your machine customised, they may be able to provide it for you, depending on which part of the world you're in. I ordered a 3440 yesterday, which has a Ci5 1.7 GHz 4210U, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 1600x900 screen, GeForce2 740M, and a 6-cell 60KWh battery.

the 3440 monitor is only a 768p model, there is no 1600x900 option, seems like dell made this laptop worse

An asocial office playboy. Dell presents the successor of its Vostro 3460 as an affordable office notebook in a snazzy aluminum body. The dedicated graphics also makes the test version interesting for gaming with friends. So much is clear from the beginning: The balancing act succeeds, with only its mobility and endowment of ports failing to convince.
