I'm having this laptop for six months now, and I am already having more problems with this than I had with my 5 years old ex-laptop. Please do not buy this crap, and if you're able to spread the word, please do so. Lenovo is no longer a reliable company.
Low performance comparing to other budget laptops, Low display quality, low hardware configurations, absolutely low touchpad design, terrible hard drive performance (even in case of hybrid version).

I checked out this model with hybrid storage of 1TB HDD and 8GB SSD and found it a really valuable model considering its retail price. (It may differ in other regions).
But I have recently read your review of the MSI-GE60 with GTX-960M.

I have another option which is MSI-GE62 with the exact same specification as the GE60 in the review. The GE60 has a slight advantage over Y5070 in terms of multi-core processing and like its design better. On the other hand It's its lack of SSD which I assume will effect boot time and its performance on everyday basis. Not to mention the RAM which is 8GB vs 16GB.
The retail price for both models are aproximately the same. The GE62 is about 50 $ more. So I had an idea of buying the GE62 and upgrade it later with 16GB RAM and 128GB SSD.
I would appreciate it if I had your opinion on this idea.

4k is more for entertainment than for gaming

All of the people are complaining about the resolution !  it's being 4k doesn't hurt anyone! just don't use it while you are gaming! There are more serious problems with this furnace eh... , sorry,  laptop.

I genuinely can't belive you don't mention the yellow tint on the screen. I bought one and returned it straight away because of it. On the forums it's a known issue that plagues all of them with dozens of people spending hours trying to come up with configurations that minimise the issue - though none of them quite get there. So how you manage to right an entire review including a section devoted entirely to the panel, it's contrast levels, viewing angles and everything else yet somehow don't mention the fact that for all its 4k clarity it can't even display something as a fundamental as a primary colour correctly leaves me genuinely dumbfounded. Try watching The Simpsons on it, then re-create with an apology to anyone who may have been unfortunate enough to buy this pos laptop please.

Lenovo really needs to retool there "gaming" laptop development team, while overall it's a decent enough package there is absolutely nothing special about this laptop.
It would have been better with a "good" 1080p screen and not the ridiculous resolution this laptop has.
Average laptop with a average screen , the competition does it better.

The performance is limited to base clock on battery -> could you check ThrottleStop 7.0 - TPL dialog and check if the checkboxes are active? And disable clampling or performance level?

Haha!  4K screen in a gaming notebook (15.6"!), what a joke, especially considering it only has a 960M in there, but even a 980M isn't suitable for decent 4K gaming!
