I Brought Acer AOD270 before two year, I am happy with the Lap...I didn't face any problem even now...very comfortable to use. Thanks to Acers. Brought this lap instead of mobile. But it worth.
My Acer Aspire One D270 is around my 10th computer and is the most determined little mobile computer I have ever had. I run AutoCad solid model demonstrations (I know, whathe?) and MS office 365. It chugs like a smoker with emphysema when running these applications that are meant for more powerful systems but it runs them just the same. It's like a pushbike pulling a train. I lost count how many time I have dropped this computer - it just keeps going. Battery life is still awesome two years on. Hmmm, I wonder if it can breath under water?
I have had the Asus Aspire One D270 for more than 2yrs now. No problem and its a great little one. If you are looking for gaming go for something bigger but for normal use - emails, storing documents, pictures etc it great. Even watch movies of a USB on it. No problem
I have had an Asus Aspire One D270 for over a year. No problem - none of the keys have given away, the screen is safe, it is as light as a tablet and very often I can stand for long periods and work on the internet. It has 2GB (DDR3 memory ) and 320GB storage. Where else could you get that for $275. I am very happy with it
A lovely netbook. Out of the box performance is mediocre with only 1Gb installed, but upgrade to 2Gb and it flies (some people report upgrading to 4Gb!?). Found 2Gb is enough for compiler and development at a decent speed. Plus it has an excellent keyboard. Grabbed a few for posterity since all modern notebooks have chiclet keyboards. Too bad Acer discontinued this line but in terms of balancing cost, size and capability in the smallest package possible it could be the finest PC ever made.
I have one of these and it was painfully slow, however when observing the amount of RAM in use it was close to 1GB all the time. I put 2Gb of RAM in it and it is really fast now. Windows 7 will not work adequately with 1Gb of RAM it is forever paging which takes all the time
i cant find the bluetooth 4.0 in my new D270 .where can i find it.And another one my open intel my wi fi technology says that i have no adapter. please help me.
I have had several Acer netbooks and notebooks all have been fantastic. I have a 532 with 2bg ram and a SSD this is as fast as my acer notebook core 3 with same ram and SSD. My old notebook lost its battery charge and tried several times to get a replacement in the end stripped it down sold the bits for about the cost for a i3.
My netbook I upgrade every 2 years sell the old one add £40 difference to get the next model up for around £140 this way I dont get battery issues.
2GB ram is a must and so is a SSD. yes you loose some storage, so put the old HD in a portable usb case and watch it fly.
I have noticed that a lot of these now are 3 cells, cant be doing with that.
These devices are more than capable of surfing and office work, ok serious spread sheet or autocad then its a pc with masssive monitor, (saying that add a usb mouse and plug into hdmi TV way you go) but I like the keyboard so noooooo to touchpads and windos 8
Upgrade to 2GB ($20) plus WIN8 ($49), add Classic Start Menu (freeware) and it runs soooo much better. I have added DOSBOX for some old specialist programs with no hassle.
