I've had this laptop for over a year and I like it. Its great for everyday things but is disappointing when it comes to games. My one has 4GB DDR3 L memory which is decent but i'd rather 8GB. I feel that the CPU would bottle-neck the performance if I upgraded to 8GB RAM. plus it's not very upgradeable, other than the RAM.  Its very quiet and runs other things smoothly. I'm not to sure whether to upgrade it or just by a more powerful laptop or PC. I'm quite an avid gamer so maybe my opinion is slightly unfair, it is just a notebook after all, and a good one at that!

The E1-532 sold in Brazil has two memory banks. Mine has already two 4GB modules and I doubt it wont take two 8GB ones. Its by far the best value laptop I've ever owned. Alas its screen is one of those shiny ones.

The screen has a 30-pin eDP connector, which is less common than the 40-pin one.

Its just great, love it. I have been using it for over three months now and have not experienced any problem yet.

This laptop is GREAT! For this price you get even more than you will expected. Quiet, cold (not worming up), long battery autonomy, great keypad, build quality is EXCELLENT, solid plastic, screen is superb... I have it for over a month and my experience is tremendous. The only negative characteristics is his speakers. Not too loud and very mush hi tones and not very balanced bass reflex. But, overall i highly recommended this laptop. Acer, great job. Congratulations!

"Aspire E1-532 is structurally identical to the E1-522, E1-572 and E1-572G"
Not really. The E1-522 is slightly different, note the location of LAN port.  8)

A real price-cutter. Acer asks a mere 250 Euros for their Aspire E1-532. The computer's highlights are a Celeron Haswell processor and a matte Display. A Windows operating system, however, isn't part of the package. Is it possible to get a decent notebook for such a low price?
