yeah, klaus is right.

audio and video are seperate. video from S-video and audio from headphone out with cinch...

there is a cinch to scart cable adapter set from ednet with video and audio. you can buy it from niedermayer for about 9 euro... that works for me and my tv, but i dont habe a widescreen...

i don't think that the s-video cable can transmit audio, that would be new to me. i think it is either the tv and the settings or you need a 9-pin cable.

if the tv is not very old, it is the cable, i guess.

That looks like a broken cable...
Do you have another one to try it out? I had the Problem once too, when the cable had insulate contact.

maybe you have to change your TVs setting? it was in my case... and everything is allright now.

sound origins from the headphone cinch...

Hello,

I have the Aspire 5672wlmi_1024 i have on the side of my notebook a s-video connector but its 7 pins.

Now i have a cable but thats 4 pins and then when i put in i only get black/wite.

I read that 7pin cables sometimes are with audio i know where to buy that cable but does my notebook support audio and video through one 7-pin s-video cable?

Is it normal that i get black/wite with a 4pin s-video when i have a 7-pin connector?

yours, kay

srry for the second time but its with rush
