Der chinesische Supercomputer Tianhe-2 wurde mit 30,65 Petaflops Rechengeschwindigkeit gemessen und ist somit 74 Prozent schneller als der aktuelle Rekordhalter, der amerikanische Supercomputer Titan. Tianhe-2 wird von der Nationalen Universität für Verteidigungstechnologie entwickelt und soll im Jahr 2015 100 Petaflops erreichen.
