it would be interesting if it performs good in linux with it's hybrid graphics.

Just to note, the GPU on this laptop will overclock exceptionally well to beyond the levels of a GT650. Typical overclocks go to around 950mhz core and 1000mhz memory with maybe 2-3 degrees extra heat. It's really quite impressive, and also remarkably easy to do.

Windows performance index is not correct. I have the model with 8GB of memory and my windows performance index is:
Processor: 7.2
Memory: 7.5
Graphics: 6.8
Gaming Graphics: 6.8
Hard disk: 7.9

Hi, could you please comment on the sRGB coverage? In the article you mention that it's insufficient, but it looks like the coverage is nearly 90% (could you provide us with exact coverage percentage?), besides, it extends beyond sRGB in some directions. Basically, I am postulating that the screen is VERY good, and should be worth much more than 75% in the Display category.

For example, the HP EliteBook 8460p that you quote in the competition section, has 1) lower brigthness, 2) lower contrast, 3) higher black value, 4) much worse color coverage, yet you gave it 75%, as well.

PLEASE RE-EVALUATE. Please.

When you tested the Older Vaio SA 13 it managed almost 3 hours (2,5 with BD).

My previous-generation VAIO SA (i7-2620M) get 7.1 of CPU Score, 5.8 point of this cpu is impossible!

perhaps it's worth mentioning that this model is also available for a cheaper price if someone doesn't need a ssd or the blu-ray writer.

but a question in general... there aren't much notebooks at this size that deliver that much performance. everywhere someone has to live with artificial restrictions. in this one: weaker cpu than the vaio-z, worse display than a macbook for example...
to my question: is there any notebook that has the formfactor of an 13" that has a dedicated gpu, a display that covers at least srgb and (not a must) a quad-core cpu?

this one could have everything but no - the gap between the s and the z would have been to short i guess :-(

if I remember correctly, switching to Speed-Mode activates "priority to ventilation" automatically. Unfortunately, the Notebook has already been sent back - but the throttling could have been caused by the very high ambient temperature, too.

Regarding the throttling of the gpu, I suggest setting the fan to "priority to ventilation" under the vaio control centre application. For many users this has eliminated any throttling or switching from the dedicated to the integrated gpu.  It might be worth updating your review if you also find this eliminates throttling or switching.
