well your notebook monitor can't display more than 1280 x 800 pixels no matter what changes you do.

no sorry, your tft does only provide 1280 * 800 pixels that can have a color. a larger monitor (i gues  an old analog one) does not have this limitation (because of it's different principle).

Hello,

I have a notebook with a 15,4 inch screen 1280x800
And is it possible to have a higher resolution by games on this display. because when i plug in my monitor and set it to 1600x1200 then set in ccc (change screen but keep resolution) then i can play games on my notebook on 1600x1200. Is there a possibility to do it without a large monitor?
